Game of Ur 1.5

The Royal Game of Ur is an ancient board game that dates back to 3,000 BC. The rules of this historical game were shrouded in mystery until a breakthrough in the early 1980s. Thanks to the translation of a cuneiform tablet by Irving Finkel, a curator at the British Museum, the enigmatic rules were finally unveiled.

In this strategic game, players take turns deciding which piece to move by tapping on it or selecting the destination square. Each piece can be moved one square for every die rolled with a white spot facing up. The aim is to be the first player to successfully navigate all pieces through the course. Landing on a square adorned with a rosette grants an extra turn, while encountering an opponent's piece results in sending it back to the initial position. If a piece resides on the center rosette, it is secure from capture.
